Ramsgate’s Sam Battle – aka Look Mum No Computer – will be representing the UK at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria in May 2026.
Sam, who is the boss of the town’s This Museum Is Not Obsolete attraction in Church Hill, was revealed as the UK act during the Radio 2 breakfast show of Scott Mills (one of the BBC’s Eurovision commentators) today (February 17).
The song that he will perform on the Vienna stage will be revealed at a later date.
Look Mum No Computer is an electronic music artist, experimental singer-songwriter, and inventor of musical machines. He has toured the UK and Europe, playing his custom-made Synthesizer ‘Kosmo’ on stage.
In 2014 he was the frontman of the indie rock band Zibra. The band performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2015. He then launched his solo career featuring electronic and synth sounds.
He is also a popular YouTuber with 1.4 million combined subscribers and followers on social media.
His musical inventions include an organ made from Furby toys, a Star Wars Droid Orchestra, and his Synthesiser Bike.
The song that Look Mum No Computer will perform as the UK’s entry at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest will receive its first radio play, along with the first exclusive interview, on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds in the coming weeks.
The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will take place in Wiener Stadthalle, Vienna, on Saturday 16 May with the Semi-Finals taking place on Tuesday 12 and Thursday 14 May. The Grand Final and the Semi Finals will be broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer plus via BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.
Sam launched his Museum Is (Not) Obsolete is 2020. He describes it as “the home for experimental and obsolete scientific and musical technology.”
It is a place where old tech is refurbished and given a new purpose as something interesting, with the help of volunteers of all different skill sets.

You call them artists, I call them infantile daubers who couldn’t paint a wall and they couldn’t do that without a financial grant. You call (I’m assuming here) any one who disagrees with your bigoted views a racist, I’m inclined to call them ‘genuinely concerned citizens’ as for stoners, I guess it’s their way to cope with living in Thanet toilet.
(Un)funnily enough, there are a couple from the far left on FB saying that this guy shouldn’t take part because of Israel’s participation. Racism is racism, no matter who or how people try to justify it. Music and sport should be politics-free.
