Palm Bay School has been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Distinction. The accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire school community over the past academic year.
A devoted team of enthusiastic and committed pupils worked to complete an Environmental Review and create an Action Plan. They also organised and conducted various school-wide activities and initiatives to raise awareness and enhance the school’s existing environmental policy.
In the congratulatory letter received with the award, it was noted: “It was wonderful to see how completing your Environmental Review helped to raise the level of awareness in your school and helped your Eco-Committee to identify the issues and spot gaps in your school’s existing environmental activity. But equally important is that it helped you to recognise the great work that you were already doing.”
The letter gave special praise to the litter picks around the school, beach clean-up activities, and the Green Themed assemblies. It stated, “You’ve clearly embedded the ethos of the Eco-Schools programme far and wide in your school.”
