A former scout hall in Margate is going under the hammer at auction this month.
It is one of 228 lots listed for sale by Clive Emson auctioneers with bids going live on September 22 and closing on September 24.
The former Scout hall in Brockley Road was historically used by the 10th Margate (St Pauls) Scout Group. The group formed in 1915 and was the only group that functioned during World War II, with scouts from all over the district meeting at the hall.
The auctioneers say the building might have potential for a variety of alternative schemes if all necessary consents are obtainable.
Jon Rimmer, auction appraiser, said: “This former Scout hall has an ecclesiastic air and it sits in a residential road in Margate town centre.
“The property has an open plan ground floor with storage on the first floor and a small parcel of land to the side.
“It may lend itself to conversion to a residential property if all necessary consents are obtainable.”
Its freehold guide price is £60,000-plus.
