As another successful academic term comes to a close, students and staff at Cross Keys Learning are reflecting on a year filled with achievement, opportunity and memorable experiences.
Throughout the year, students have enjoyed a wide range of enrichment activities designed to develop confidence, independence and life skills. From educational visits, work experience placements and community events, to creative arts projects, sports activities, cookery sessions and wellbeing initiatives, there has been something for everyone.
Highlights from the summer term included visits to Willesborough Windmill, the RNLI coming to both schools at St Peter’s and Womenswold, a Felderland Fruit Farm visit, alongside Sports Day, Mental Health Awareness Week, Barclays Life Skills workshops, online safety sessions, and the Parent and Child Cookery event. Students also showcased their talents through catering events, creative arts projects and work experience placements with local employers.
A school spokesperson said: “We were particularly proud to celebrate our Year 11 students as they completed their journey with us and prepared for the next stage of their education and future careers. We wish them every success as they move on to new opportunities.
“None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the partnerships we have built within our local community. Together, we have created countless opportunities for our young people to learn, grow and thrive.
“As we break for the summer holidays, we would like to thank everyone who has been part of our journey this year and wish all our families a happy, safe and restful summer. We look forward to welcoming students back in September for another exciting year at Cross Keys Learning.”
