Pupils at St Laurence Junior School in Ramsgate have taken the opportunity to show their appreciation for someone who helps keep them safe every day – their much-loved road crossing patrol, Mr Casagrande.
In a special surprise, the children presented Mr Casagrande with a beautiful card filled with messages of thanks and kind words from pupils, celebrating the important role he plays in the school community.
Whatever the weather – rain, wind or sunshine – Mr Casagrande is always there at the crossing to welcome children and families and ensure they can make their way to school safely. His friendly smile, care and commitment have made him a familiar and valued member of the St Laurence Junior School community.
Headteacher Louise Buckland said: “We wanted to show Mr Casagrande just how much we appreciate everything he does for our children. He is always there for us and his dedication to keeping our pupils safe means so much to the whole school community.”
The thoughtful gesture was a wonderful way for pupils to recognise someone who makes a real difference every single day. The school hopes Mr Casagrande knows how valued he is by the children, staff and families of St Laurence Junior School.
He is doing a worthwhile job.
