Priory Infant School in Ramsgate has been recognised for its outstanding commitment to children’s emotional wellbeing after achieving the Thrive Ambassador Awards for Excellence in Reparative and Right-Time support.
Priory previously achieved an Award for Excellence in Environment, meaning they are two awards away from gaining the Thrive School of Excellence award, the highest award possible.
The awards celebrate schools that go above and beyond in helping pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn through the use of the Thrive Approach, which focuses on social and emotional development.
Priory Infant School was praised by Thrive, which said Priory ”supports all pupils in class with Right-Time social and emotional development and also providing individual assessments and support for pupils who have gaps at earlier stages of development.”
Wellbeing Mentor and Mental Health Lead Callum Martin said: ”We are so proud to have these awards. At Priory we believe the children are at the heart of everything we do and to see them develop socially and emotionally through the Thrive approach is incredibly rewarding. All of the children and staff should be incredibly proud of themselves!”
Priory Infant School will continue to work with the pupils and families to develop and support their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
Priory is a great school – both of my daughters have thrived there. It’s a shame it’s just an infant school as it would be lovely if they could stay there until age 11!💗
