Westgate’s flipping brilliant pancake day races return to the town this Tuesday (February 17) from 10am to noon.
The event in Station Road will feature a variety of race categories, including walking races and fun fancy-dress races, making it a lively and inclusive morning for the whole community.
There are separate categories for schools and preschools, businesses and community groups.
Supporters can cheer on the teams at the non-profit event as pancakes are flipped by runners on the closed road.
There will be town councillors and staff acting as stewards and a council officer will be the duty events manager.
A Westgate Town Council spokesperson said: “ We are delighted to share that we already have more than 100 participants signed up, ranging in age from 1 to 75.”
