Kent Police has confirmed that a man was sadly confirmed dead at the scene of a fire in Ramsgate today (November 7).
Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended an outbuilding fire in Lancaster Close at 11.04am. Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police officers attended Lancaster Close, Ramsgate, at around 11.30am on Friday 7 November, to assist Kent Fire and Rescue Service at the scene of a residential fire.
“A man in his 80s was confirmed deceased at the scene, his next of kin have been informed.
“Officers remain at the property and enquiries to establish the cause are ongoing.”
