The Kent Tribute Festival Weekender is to be staged at Quex Park in 2026, bringing three days of live music, entertainment, and festival vibes to Thanet.
Following the success of previous years, the 2026 edition, dubbed Glaston Thanet, promises to be the biggest yet — featuring 21 of Europe’s leading tribute acts, two stages, and a weekend-long celebration of legendary music.
Festival-goers can expect tributes to rock, pop, soul, and dance legends, street food and licensed bars and family-friendly entertainment including children’s tribute shows, inflatables, fairground rides, and attractions.
There will also be motorhome pitches and camping.
Festival organiser, Gerald McCarthy said: “These types of festivals offer something different to people of all ages. They’re much easier on the pocket than some of these huge festivals, but people get to enjoy the same standard of music from bands they know and love.
“The Midlands have their annual ‘Glaston Budget’ weekend event and Wales has ‘Glaston Barry’ and these attract thousands of people annually. I’ve already heard people calling this ‘Glaston Thanet’ which is quite amusing but it’s great to be bringing something similar to this part of Kent next May.”
The Tribute Festival Weekender takes place over the late May Bank Holiday weekend on 22nd May – 24th May at Quex Park, Birchington.

Am I correct that Mick n keef used to run the corner shop on Stella street the TV programme from the 1990’s. With celebs as their neighbours, who were roger moore , sir Dirk Bogarde, David Bowie, jack Nicholson.
I’m certain the Beatles used to run the shop when Mick n keef were on holiday.
Was I caught in a drunken haze or did this really exist.
What a stellar comedy Stella Street was and I still enjoy watching it on YouTube and also other strong characters were in it like Michael,Caine , Joe Pesci and Al Pacino .
As for this tribute act weekend looks like it could be fun plus the ticket prices by Quex standards seem reasonably priced not sure I will attending though .
that show sounds painful on the ears and wallet , poor mans kareoke realy , which is tripe in its self

The event is in birchington yet on the website they are advertising a taxi company in Herne bay ! I used to be a taxi driver, they won’t want to send cars to Thanet to do work ! It’ll leave them with no cars in Herne bay.
