A cyclist has been treated by paramedics following a collision involving a car and cyclist in Broadstairs this morning (September 11).
Emergency services were called to Westwood Road, near the Nelson College campus heading to Poorhole Lane, at 8.22am.
The road was closed while officers and ambulance crews attended but has since reopened.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 8.22am to a report of a collision involving a car and a cyclist on A256 Westwood Road.
“Officers attended along with SECAmb, who assisted the cyclist, whose injuries are not reported to be life changing or life threatening.”
A SECAmb (South East Coast Ambulance service) spokesperson said: “SECAmb were called at approx. 08:15 this morning to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a bike on Westwood Road in Broadstairs.
“A crew attended the scene and assessed and treated the person riding the bike for injuries including to their ankle before taking them to the QEQM hospital for further medical treatment.”
