The weekly market is returning to Manston airport after a short spell in Cliftonville – but will now take place on Sundays.
The Saturday market was initially held at Manston airport from August 2024 until it closed in May this year.
It then moved to The Oval Bandstand and Lawns in Cliftonville between the tail end of June and last month.
Now bosses, Stevens Markets, have announced the return to Manston from Sunday, September 21, 8.30am to 3pm.
The Saturday market at the airport was previously run by Bray Markets, which also is in charge of the Friday market at Ramsgate. It was taken over by Les and Michael Stevens, who launched as Stevens Markets, in May.
Michael, who is now the sole boss of Stevens Markets, said he is ‘ready to roll’ and expects some 100 stalls to trade from the relaunched market before the end of the year.

The Oval Bandstand and Lawns was a waste of time. Almost no one there.
A market with few bus and no rail links from most of Thanet… no thanks!

Many people, whether for health reasons, age, or concerns about the environment, don’t drive. For those reasons, I really hope it fails (again).
Fed up B – Peter Checksfield often doesn’t use a prefix when commenting on people, so why should those of us whom he addresses merely by surname call him “Mr Checksfield”? I for one have no respect for him.

Went to the oval bandstand ,what a waste of time and money,the market is rubbish, just looks like a load of knockoff stuff and trash ,not one food stall of quality .Will not be going to Manston
