Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews are currently in Broadstairs High Street after a lump of render fell from the front of the Prince Albert pub and onto the pavement today (August 29).
The incident happened at around noon and the area was immediately cordoned off for safety.
Pub boss Sabrina Gray said: “No-one was hurt and public safety is our main priority.”
Sabrina thanked staff from Please Sir and the Star of the Sea for their help in securing the scene.
The damage is not structural and the pub will be open for business.
A KFRS spokesperson said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service is currently responding to an incident on Broadstairs High Street, where parts of a buildings render has fallen.
“One fire engine is in attendance, and crews are working to make the scene safe.”
A spokesperson from the Stonegate Group which owns The Prince Albert said: “We are aware of an incident involving a section of the building’s frontage at The Prince Albert in Broadstairs.
“As soon as the issue was identified, our team acted swiftly to ensure the pub remained safe for customers and passer-by’s. Repair work is underway and will be completed promptly.”

Most of the town when you look up seems decrepit.Reckon TDC should get onto the owners of these properties and get them to maintain their buildings.It looks Third World.If I was a tourist I wouldn’t be impressed.Can think of loads of seaside towns equidistant from London that look so much nicer.
Oh no, was literally talking about it a few days ago. Thinking it was such a shame the render on the other gable had to be removed and not repaired. And now this. They had such character.
To the point that John makes above, some of the buildings do look horrendous and then need tidying up and painting.
