Carnival Club sessions are being held every day from now until Friday at Cliftonville Community Centre ahead of the parade on Sunday.
The drop-in sessions are being run by the team from ARK Cliftonville with Great British Carnival and take place:
Wed 30 July 11 – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
Thurs 31 July – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
Fri 1 Aug 11 – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
Sat 2 Aug 11 – 1pm
Everyone is welcome to drop-in, get creative and make costumes and carnival props for the procession – make a mask or something fun that you can hold and wave!
The Margate Carnival Parade sets off from Palm Bay on Sunday (August 3) at 2:30pm. The route is the same as previous years: Starting at Palm Bay, down Eastern Esplanade, Fort Crescent, Fort Hill, along the seafront, Canterbury Road to Westbrook Bay where it will finish.

M&L Pleasure Fairs will also be at Palm Bay 1 August – 10 August with rides, games and attractions and Margate Soul Festival is also on with a stage at the Lido Complex.
Great British Carnival have been the Artistic Directors for Margate Carnival most years since 2013 – bringing in professional carnival art elements to support the event and make it extra special.
