POW Festival The Big Bike Revival Free led Bike Ride Tour – Ramsgate

Jilly from Ride Margate will be leading a 1 hour bike ride from Ellington Park to the Ramsgate Viking Trail.

This is a brilliant way to build up confidence cycling if you haven’t been on a bike for a while and to discover new places in Ramsgate.

It will be a mostly flat ride and all young people under 14, able to cycle for 1 hour, are welcome to join with an 18+ guardian.

14+ can ride without adult supervision.

The Viking Players present ‘More Tea Vicar?’

An interactive murder mystery where you are the detective.

It’s Midsummer’s Day, 1951, and at St. Giles’ Parish Hall, it’s the annual Orphanage Holiday Fund. Father Damien Danvers seems unusually flustered, his mother is preoccupied and the post mistress and the organist both seem to be lost in thought… as for Mrs. Whittaker, the cleaner… well, rumour has it that she may know something about the missing bottle of Communion wine!

When a Churchwarden is found dead in suspicious circumstances, it is down to the audience to question all the suspects and maybe even win a prize for their table if they correctly name the killer!

Includes tea, coffee, cake and biscuits.

The hall is fully accessible and there is free parking opposite the hall, adjacent to the Co-op.

The Bike Shed Mechanics will be at the POW festival to fix any bikes that you’d like to get checked over before riding this summer.

They can do repairs on tyres, breaks and chains for FREE and give advice if it is a bigger repair.

Seashore Safari – Summer Solstice Fair

Join this special Solstice safari to explore the chalk reef and rock pools of the Thanet Coast to see what shore life can see – from crabs & shrimps, fish & shellfish, to anemones & colourful seaweeds.

The seashore safaris will be taking place in part of the North East Kent Marine Protected Area – known for its marine life and habitats along the longest continuous stretch of coastal chalk in the country.

The event lasts for up to 2 hours and is suitable for ALL the family, but particularly 4-11s. Children must always be accompanied by a responsible adult. These events are run with the help of Thanet Coast Project volunteers, and rely on donations to keep going.

This activity is part of the Solstice Fayre, run by FLINTS throughout the day at Newgate Gap
