Year 4 children at St Laurence Junior Academy in Ramsgate brought a heartfelt and reflective message to life during their recent church service titled “Three Trees,” exploring the life of Jesus through the lens of a timeless allegorical tale.
Held at St Laurence Church, the service captivated the congregation as the students told the story of three trees, each dreaming of a purpose—one hoping to become a treasure chest, another a mighty ship, and the third aspiring to grow tall and point people toward God. Through powerful narration, music, and dramatic presentation, the class revealed how each tree’s dream came true in an unexpected but profound way through key moments in Jesus’ life.
The first tree became the manger that cradled the newborn Christ, the second became the boat from which Jesus calmed the storm and preached to crowds, and the third was shaped into the cross—the ultimate symbol of love and sacrifice.
Parents, staff, and members of the church community were moved by the students’ storytelling, thoughtful reflections and joyful songs.
The service not only celebrated Easter’s deeper meaning but also encouraged all present to consider how God can use ordinary things—and people—for extraordinary purposes.
Headteacher Mrs Graham said: “The children worked incredibly hard to prepare for this service. It was more than a performance—it was an expression of faith, creativity, and spiritual growth.
“The story of the Three Trees is a beautiful reminder that our lives may take unexpected paths, but God’s purpose is always greater than we imagine.”
