Fire crews have been in attendance at a flats in Ramsgate today (February 7) after a length of roof soffit came loose from the building.
Two crews attended the scene next door to the Co-op in Grange Road at 2.10pm.
No injuries were reported and crews secured the building to make it safe.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “ Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Grange Road, Ramsgate to secure an unsafe structure and protect public safety.
“There were two fire engines in attendance. No injuries were reported.”
Crews finished at the scene at 3.15pm.
Good work by the Fire Service! However, shouldn’t it have been the responsibility of whomever maintains / owns freehold of the flats.

But as they were not in evidence, it was appropriate that public safety was maintained by the attendance of the Fire Brigade.
