Pupils at St Gregory’s Catholic Primary in Margate enjoyed a jim-jam jamboree as part of this year’s annual Children in Need activities at the school.
In exchange for a donation to the appeal, children were allowed to wear their pyjamas for the day which resulted in a wide range of colourful outfits.
Others chose to come dressed in their Pudsey outfits with a variety of tops, tee shirts and onesies on show in classrooms throughout the school.
Through donations St Gregory’s collected £206 for the nationwide charity.
Headteacher Dave Walker said he was proud of the way the school embraced the special day.
He added: “What was very important was that our pupils learned how the money they and their families generously give is used to help support others who have a range of needs.
“Supporting human dignity and valuing every single person is a strong ethos at St Gregory’s and the various charity appeals like Children In Need that we support throughout the year highlights our beliefs.
“When people are struggling in life it is crucial that they can access the support they need and we are happy to play a small part in ensuring whatever help is available is effective and accessible.
“Supporting charities is part of our Catholic Social Teaching curriculum, where our pupils learn about the important of helping others and to be kind and caring.”
