A 19-year-old man has been charged with offences including GBH after a group of people in Margate were sprayed with a substance.
Shortly before 1.15am on Saturday 9 November, a group of people in Mansion Street, which runs between Fort Road and The Parade, were reported to have been sprayed with a corrosive liquid causing two people to suffer facial injuries and a further two to suffer reddening and irritation to their faces or chest.
Officers attended and have seized a bottle believed to have contained the substance used.
Ronnie Tudor, 19, of St Luke’s Avenue, Ramsgate, was charged today {12 November} with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a corrosive substance (ammonia) in a public place, and administering a noxious thing with intent to injure or aggrieve.
He was remanded to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court later today.
UPDATE: Mr Tudor has been remanded in custody until a further court appearance on December 16th.
