Police have seized suspected class A drugs and made an arrest in Ramsgate.

Yesterday morning (September 11), officers attended a property in Newington and carried out a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

During the search an estimated £2,000 worth of suspected cocaine was found by officers, as well as cannabis, weighing scales, a quantity of cash, mobile phones and nitrous oxide cannisters.

A 29-year-old man from Ramsgate was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply. The man has been bailed and the investigation is ongoing by detectives.

Detective Sergeant Adam Franks said: “Drug dealing is not welcome in Thanet and our officers continually work to gather evidence, identify offenders and disrupt this illegal trade.

“If you believe drug dealing and associated criminality is taking place in your street, report it to us via our website (or 999 if a crime is in progress) so we can work together to keep Thanet safe.”

  1. The inbred comments so the real problem with society these days!

Anyone caught dealing or using drugs should be dealt with zero tolerance!!

  2. Why do drug dealers get bail? They are causing misery to the users and non-users who have to put up with all the screaming, shouting and abuse. They are no more than scum and need to be locked away from society.

  3. Just one?!?!?
I’m tired of yobs and smelling weed walking down the pavement. What a joke that one being caught is a news story. Take the cameras off the Police as they work for the people and let them dispense justice.

    • You’re tired of smelling weed, so want the police to use extra judicial police brutality against SUSPECTED criminals? Why not just say you have a hard on for violence?
