A new exhibition and fair will take place at Margate’s Turner Contemporary this October.
Silver + Form, will showcase contemporary jewellery, silverware, objets d’art, and sculptures crafted by some of the most talented silversmiths and metalsmiths in the UK.
The event was founded by Anja Hessler, a Ramsgate-based artist known for her contemporary mobile sculptures, and Nessa Warner, a designer of fine silver and gold jewellery. It was conceived out of a shared passion for creativity and craftsmanship, with the goal of providing a platform for contemporary jewellery and metalwork.
Artists include the award-winning Meron Wolde, sculptor Adaesi Ukairo, gemologist and designer Coral Huang, and the acclaimed Chloe Valorso.
Visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet 24 of the UK’s emerging and established jewellery designers, silversmiths, and metalsmiths, and purchase handmade pieces directly from the creators.
Anja said: “Silver + Form aspires to become a must-attend event in the fine jewellery and contemporary silver calendar. By showcasing the best UK-based designer-makers, we aim to establish this fair as an annual highlight, drawing both seasoned art enthusiasts and new visitors to Margate and Turner Contemporary.
“Our goal is to solidify Silver + Form’s place as a key event in the art and design world.”
