Birchington-based auto and metal recycling business Reclamet has marked four years in business under owner Stuart Mann, during which time it has quadrupled in size and scale.
The company, which also has a 40,000 sq st storage warehouse at Manston airport, first came under the current ownership at the end of July 2020.
It now employs 85 staff, mostly from Thanet, recycles hundreds of cars and car parts every week and sends some 100,000 car parts to every corner of the UK each year.
Stuart Mann, Managing Director at Reclamet, said: “We have come a very long way in four short years, we have plenty to shout about. Without great staff the business would not have grown so much and so quickly.
“We are the fastest growing auto recycling business in the South East and the largest in Kent. Well done Team RECLAMET, I am very proud of you all.”
The business recycles all forms of metal from both commercial or domestic customers, from scrapping an old car or fireplace to large scale industrial equipment. It also has an on-site car bodyshop and state-of-the-art spray booth for customers that want to restore their vehicles to their former glory
Stuart says the business ethos is based on reducing, reusing and recycling.
He added: “We take cars apart to save the best parts for reuse and recycle the rest. We reduce the need to always buy new through providing quality used car parts.”
The team celebrated the anniversary with a group lunch.
The business was originally incorporated as Demolocal in 1991 becoming Reclamet Demolition the same year. Mr Mann took control on July 28, 2020.
