Two arrested over assault in Ramsgate

Two men have been arrested following a serious assault in Ramsgate.

Kent Police was called at 2.42am yesterday (July 28) to a report of a disturbance involving a group of people on the corner of Harbour Parade.

It was alleged a man had been assaulted by three men and had suffered injuries.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man in his 20s was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. He was later discharged.

Later that day, officers arrested a 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old man on suspicion of assault. They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Yesterday morning a police cordon was in place outside Chuck and Blade Burgers where a large amount of blood on the pavement could be seen.
