A teenager was taken to hospital for treatment after being hit by a vehicle in Margate this morning (September 14).
Kent Police attended Vicarage Place following a report of the collision. Part of the Ramsgate Road, by Watling Tyres up to the St Peter’s Road turn off, was closed by police while the incident was dealt with.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the scene shortly before 9am. A teenager sustained injuries and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
“The road was reopened by around 10am.”
What a load of rubbish
What’s a load of rubbish?
Take your life in your hands crossing there-they drive like lunatics from the New Life Church round, or straight on & the other way. Better to cross at the Graveyard entrance, or before you get to Watling if you are coming the other way
Was the boy on an e-scooter, or electric bike! Today around 12.30pm a boy overtook me on my mobility scooter in St Lukes Avenue, Ramsgate on an electric bike, who must have been doing 40 to 50 mph! He didn’t have a helmet, and my guess no insurance, or license, so I hope it was him!
Your a nice person .No one has said who was at fault.I stuck in traffic next to that police car ,why was the road closed ,because ,when I was there, the road was clear ,no other emergency vehicles, only that police car,no people standing around .It was clear the lad had been whisked away,to hospital.WHY ???keep the road closed or partially closed for another 30 mins
