Man arrested after car crashes into fast food shop in Cliftonville

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a car was crashed into the front of a fast food shop in Cliftonville on Sunday (September 10).

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the scene following the crash into the Tasty Chicken shop at 4.29am.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 4.29am on Sunday 10 September to a report that a car had collided with a shop in Northdown Road.

“Officers attended the scene where a man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. ”
