You’ll not see me in any of these places wasting my money. I’ll continue with my walking and cycling exercise in the open air amidst beautiful coastal scenery. No cost to me.
I’m with you there. Far better for body, mind and soul.
thats good and all power to you, I walk a lot too, but as you get older you do need to boost your bones and muscles with either weight or resistance excersizes—and as Hartsdown no longer do an off peak, and want £36 a month, I may take up the new places services
You do know you can do both don’t you ? Enjoy exercise in the open air and also join a gym for specific strength and conditioning training ?
Yes I’m very much aware of the specific strength and conditioning training, I can do that at home with my own weights etc. in my garage, which is perfectly good enough for me.
I tend to rely on gardening and DIY.
I’m guessing, like me you fall Into the senior citizen bracket and gardening, walking, cycling and a little DIY is sufficient and most satisfying.
More or less (turned 60 earlier this month!).
You’re a youngster Peter, 15 years behind me 😄
You can get a membership for as little as 12.99 a month. On top of doing something good for you, you can meet new people and socialise with current friends. Maybe it’s the same in other places, but there is a real attitude of negatively round here to anything new and it’s actually draining
Do people really have money for such luxuries?. Not criticising, genuinely curious!
As every Thanet take-away and nail bar also seem to be surviving, the answer is obviously yes.
Yep. In fact there are plenty of people around here who have membership of more than one gym.
Works out as £3 a week for the first 12 months so I think anyone who wants to join up can make a little sacrifice in their lives !!
It’s 12.99 Di. Less than the price of 3 pints for someone like you in a month. I’m curious why you are so negative about such little money to look after your health.
Can you eat a pie on the treadmill?
the last place i would throw money away , its been proven over and over people never keep thier subscriptions up
The PureGym is NOT on Westwood Gateway retail Park it’s on Westwood Retail Park, Westwood Gateway is across the road where Aldi is. Westwood retail Park used to be named East Kent Retail Park.
It’s the address they gave. I’ll change it
Is that the People’s Front Of Judea, or the Judean People’s Front?
Thank you Kathy, I have a connection with a business on those sites.
Jesus Bill. How honestly petty are you
Den go and do some press-ups. I gave the correct location site as to where the new PureGym is located because as it’s open 24/7 I do not want macho a guys and boy racers going to the wrong site and having to wear themselves out by walking to the correct location and leaving their vehicles in the wrong site so my customers can’t find a place to park. Talk to yourself in the mirror if you don’t know the full details.
Everybody in thanet knows where it is Bill. Calm down mate
