Boy assaulted and robbed of his phone in Margate

Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was assaulted and his mobile phone was stolen in Margate.

It was reported that at around 1.30pm on Saturday (February 1) a boy and a girl were walking along Marine Gardens when a group of boys approached them.

The boy was assaulted and his phone, a gold coloured Alcatel mobile phone, was stolen.

The group were seen to walk away towards the High Street.

One of the suspects was described as aged 13 or 14 years old, with a medium build, and black short straight hair. He wore a black padded zip-up coat with the hood up, and black tracksuit bottoms.

A second suspect was described as being of a similar age, with a slim build and short ginger hair. He wore a grey hooded top and grey trousers.
