Three fire engines attended the scene of an incident in Margate this afternoon (December 9).

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire on the roof area of a domestic property in Ramsgate Road, by the Victoria lights.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and a main jet to tackle the blaze.

No casualties were reported and the cause is believed to be accidental, due to a fault with a small gas cylinder.
