Model railways on show at Broadstairs exhibition

The Model Railway Exhibition takes place at St Georges School in Broadstairs this weekend (November 16-17).

The show, hosted by The  Isle of Thanet Model Railway Society, will include 16 rail layouts covering the British steam and diesel scene, Irish rail and Continental models. Trade stands selling modelling supplies, wiring, buildings, scenery and more, Enthusiasts from across the UK and Europe will take part.

There will be lots of models for sale, spare parts, collectables and free advice. Layouts will be operating with either 12v basic analogue systems or DCC control, where trains can be moved solely by sending a coded signal through the rails to a micro chip fitted in the locomotive.

Refreshments will be available and there is free parking at the school,

Opening times are Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Admission is OAPs £4.50, Adults £5, children under 16 free if accompanied by an adult
