Police are appealing for a woman who it is believed was robbed in Margate earlier this month to come forward.

Police were alerted to an incident in High Street, near to the junction with Grosvenor Hill, at around 7.55am on Sunday, October 13 when a man and a woman were seen to approach a woman and demand money from her. Officers attended but all parties had left the area.

Officers believe they may have identified the suspects from CCTV but are now keen to trace the victim who has yet to report the incident. She was reportedly walking a dog at the time of the robbery.

Detective Constable Tom Banks of Kent Police said: “For whatever reason this robbery has not been reported to us, however CCTV enquiries and witness evidence suggest an offence has happened and we are keen to trace the female victim. I would urge her to get in contact so we can ensure she is ok.”

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/197110/19.
