Shade and Darkness, Light and Colour exhibition to open in Cliftonville

Shade and Darkness, Light and Colour, by Thanet artist Anthony Giles opens at Lovelys Gallery in Cliftonville on Saturday (October 5).

The exhibition runs alongside the Turner Prize at Turner Contemporary.

It features 30 new paintngs showcasing Anthony’s raw talent as one of our leading landscape and seascape artists.

Influenced by J M W Turner and more recently F Cumin, Anthony’s latest work is often started en plein air and then worked up in the studio over weeks or months.

Anthony has exhibited at many prestigious exhibitions both in the UK and abroad and has appeared on Sky Arts ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’ Anthony is featured in Who’s Who In Art 2016/17 and has recently been featured in Paint & Draw magazine.

A private view opens on October 5 from 2pm until 5pm. It will then run until November 2.
