Broadstairs carer takes the plunge for charity

Scott's abseil for London Air Ambulance

A 19-year-old carer from Broadstairs has abseiled from the roof of the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel to raise funds for the London Air Ambulance.

Scott Bolam, who is also a volunteer for Kent Fire and Rescue, took the 17 floor plunge to help the LAA, which is a charity providing specialist trauma care to over 10 million people who live and work within the M25.

Scott, who looks after mum Candy, has always had a fascination with all the emergency services so when he saw the abseil he decided to sign up.

He said: “We never know when we might need one of these services.”

Scott has a £300 target. To donate click here
