Canadian singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco and promoters Bird On The Wire are heading to Dreamland for a park takeover this weekend.
Mac DeMarco….Will See You Now is a one day festival across three indoor and outdoor stages, with further acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
The event, on Saturday, June 29, is part of celebrations for Bird on the Wire’s tenth anniversary.
As well as co-curating the event, Mac DeMarco will also headline. Attendees will have access to all amusement rides on offer.
Mac DeMarco will be joined on the bill by Aldous Harding – the New Zealand singer-songwriter released her third album ‘Designer’ last week to critical acclaim and will return to the UK to play one of the three stages at Dreamland.
Yellow Days – aka 19-year-old George Van Den Broek – will bring his alt-pop sound to Margate for a special appearance and London lo-fi artist Tirzah is set to appear following the release of her 2018 debut ‘Devotion’. Sonic Youth founder Thurston Moore will also play a special set at the one-dayer.
Fast-rising punk-rockers and Rough Trade new signing Amyl and The Sniffers join the bill, they’ll bring their much talked about live show to the festival and will perform songs from their forthcoming debut album ‘Monsoon Rock’.
Australian musician Kirin J Callinan will perform following the release of new single and a new album on the horizon. Playing a one-off UK date, indie-pop trio Girl Ray will be road testing new material, and South Londoners Blueprint Blue complete the bill.
Tickets are on sale here priced at £36 (or £41 including all day access to rides).
The park is closed for the event on Saturday (including the Roller Disco and arcade), so only ticket holders will be to gain access.
Dreamland will be back open in full on Sunday, and will be screening Glastonbury coverage live on the big screen during the day, for free
