Sky Atlantic crew due to film documentary with Thanet family at Westwood Cross

Westwood Cross

Sky Atlantic will be filming at Westwood Cross from tomorrow (March 28).

The crew will be shooting scenes for a documentary following a family as they share looking after their mum who suffers with dementia.

The programme will explore their busy lives, including that of mum-of-three Maree Manyweathers who has a beauty boutique stall at the shopping centre.

Maree, from Westbrook, is joined on the show by family members including her daughters, her sister Karen, who has just taken on The Rodney pub in Garlinge and mum Irene Miles.

She said: “We did a documentary three years ago with mum who was suffering dementia. She was ok but would repeat herself a lot. Now it has taken a turn for the worse so the documentary is following us as a family and looking at our busy lives and how we manage to care for mum as we share it between us.”

The film crew will be at Westwood between tomorrow and Sunday (March 31). A release date and final title for the documentary have not yet been released
