Arrest made after man suffers head injury during Margate disturbance

An arrest has been made after a man suffered a head injury during a disturbance in Margate.

Kent Police officers attended a property in Mill Lane at about 10.30pm yesterday (February 26)  where the victim, a man in his 40s, had suffered the injury. It was believed to have been caused by a blunt object, possibly a hammer.

The victim attended hospital and his injuries are not believed to be serious.

Officers seized a hammer and arrested a 60-year-old man from Margate who remains in police custody.
