A brewery which opened premises at Westwood Industrial Estate in May is now launching a tasting ‘saloon.’
The brewery, run by Jonny and Katie Spanjar,is planning to serve up cask and keg beer from the site and others sourced from around the country, wine, Kent cider and craft lagers. There will also be soft drinks.
Jonny said: “We have taken a small room next to the main unit and knocked it through. It’s very basic, so not a bar or pub but a tasting room to enjoy some mighty fine beer.”
The couple, who moved to Margate almost three years ago, sold their East London bar in late 2017 so they could push the proceeds into the business, based off Channel Road.
The pair will be opening the saloon on Saturday (December 1) at noon until 8pm. It will be open for the same hours the following Saturday and from December 14 the saloon will open Fridays from 4pm to 8pm as well as Saturdays.
Kate added: “Christmas hours are still being arranged we are in talks with a regular food pop up so all are satisfied! Children are welcome and the space will hold future events and pop ups.”
