Seven pantomimes coming to Thanet 2018

Panto season is upon us (oh, yes it is) and here’s our round up of performances in Thanet to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Jack and the Beanstalk comes to Minster.

The show runs from November 28-December 1. Wednesday – Saturday at 7.30pm plus Saturday 10.30am and 3pm.

Minster Playhouse perform the tale of  Jack on his adventures as he climbs the beanstalk to the Giant’s castle in the sky, with cries of ‘fe-fi-fo’

Margate Operatic Society present their annual family pantomime, ‘Aladdin

The show runs at Margate Winter Gardens from November 28-December 2.

The panto is a musical extravaganza with street urchin Aladdin, in love with the Princess Jasmine who’s overbearing mother, the Empress of China, wishes her to marry a rich young man.

Plenty of panto fun is included with Widow Twanky, and Wishee Washee,  as well as the evil Wizard Abanazar.

Wicked Productions is performing Jack & the Beanstalk at the Theatre Royal, Margate.

Join Jack on the adventure of a lifetime as this grounded dreamer is forced to swap his bovine best friend for a seemingly useless bag of beans, which soon turn out to be decidedly more magical than your average can of Heinz! Things really hot up for poor Jack when he has to climb into the sky and face the evil giant lurking above.

Back by popular demand, cheeky comic Jez-O returns  for his fourth spectacular year.

With the stunning scenery, costumes, music, choreography, magic and fun you’ve come to expect from Wicked Productions, this year the aim is to delight with a show-stopping giant, beanstalk, toe-tapping songs and special effects.

Jack and the Beanstalk is on stage from December 8-January 2, various performances.

Family panto Aladdin comes to the stage at The Centre, Alpha Road, Birchington.

Shows from the Act 1 Theatre Group, run from December 13-15, Thursday – Saturday at 7.30pm and Saturday matinee 2.30pm.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will hi-ho their way to the Granville Theatre in Ramsgate.

Shows run from December 20 to January 2. The Granville production features extra characters and scenes and delivers a colourful spectacle, high quality singers and musicians, an enchanting story, fun and laughter and audience participation.

Sleeping Beauty at Westgate Pavilion

Red Falcon Theatre will perform the panto on December 8 at 7.30pm and December 9 at 1,30pm and 6.30pm.
