The Five Guys outlet at Westwood Cross will close down at the end of next month.
The burger chain, which opened the shopping centre store in Spring 2016, has confirmed the closure and says its 14 staff will be offered roles at other outlets.
It had moved into the premises following the exit of Top Man and Top shop in 2015. The clothing brands remain at the centre but under one roof in Outfit.
A Five Guys spokesperson said: “We can confirm that the Five Guys store in Thanet will be closing at the end of September. All members of our Five Guys Crew have been informed and have been offered new opportunities in the stores closest and most convenient to them.
“We appreciate all those fans who discovered Five Guys in Thanet. We value the loyalty of our customers and know that some of them will be disappointed by the news.
“The closest Five Guys is our new store under construction in Canterbury’s central shopping district, scheduled to open October 10.”
That is sad news, Five Guys has to be the best burgers in Kent, yes a little pricey but what you get for your money is far better value than other well known establishments!
We will pay you a visit again before you close and be there at Canterbury on the big opening!
Sad but the cost of the food was very high
Hi Sue,
Yes, but comparring them against two other well known brands on cost only would be unfair. Quality, quantity, and choice is so much better at Five Guys
