An X Factor film crew has been shooting scenes in Thanet today (August 1).

Amongst the crew, who carried out early morning filming at Dumpton Gap, was 2017 finalist Kevin Davy White.

The filming was for a promotional trailer of the new series which starts in September and will feature a new panel of judges alongside Simon Cowell, made up of former boyband star Louis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and Ayda Williams.

The crew are filming for X Factor which returns to ITV 1 in September. One of the crew is Kevin Davy White, who was a finalist in 2017.  The show was won by band Rak Su.

Thanet council’s film office said: “They contacted us for permission to take a vehicle onto the promenade and the grass to get some promotional film for the new series.  They filmed for the morning and they managed to capture an amazing sunrise.”

The visit comes on the heels of filming in Ramsgate for Celebrity Antiques Road Trip with singer Peter Andre and comedian Joe Pasquale as the show’s guests.

Did you spot the crew (filming was apparently 4.30am so you would have to be an early riser or yet to go to bed!)?
