The Bell Inn at Minster to reopen for business this weekend

The Bell Inn

The Bell Inn at Minster will reopen this Saturday (July 7) some 6 months after it last shut its doors.

The 14th Century boozer was closed on January 5 after the previous landlords decided not to renew their tenancy.

But Cannon Leisure has now announced the appointment of Sarah and Mark Cornwell as the new custodians.

Mark, who has lived in Minster for 30 years, and former Marlowe Academy behaviour specialist Sarah, who worked at The Bell Inn until it closed, say they “are privileged and honoured to have the opportunity of running this historic and charming establishment.”

The pair are looking forward to seeing both familiar faces and new customers alike.

Mark said: “We will be offering food, seven days a week, and boast a ‘pub grub’ menu as well as a special menu, which has been carefully created by the returning previous chef Marie.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to our friends and family for all their hard work and support over the past few weeks to enable us to be ready for opening on July 7.”

Doors open at noon.
