Police tape off area of Harbour Parade after man assaulted and woman stabbed in head

Kent Police cordoned off an area of Harbour Parade, close to The Royal pub, in Ramsgate this morning (May 28) following two reported assaults in the early hours.

Kent Police was called to a disturbance at 2.02am. A woman suffered a head injury consistent with a stab wound, believed to be from a screwdriver, and a man received facial injuries. Both victims were taken to hospital.

A 36-year-old woman from Ramsgate was arrested on suspicion of assault. She currently remains in police custody.

The cordon was removed by 8am.
