Officers investigating a report of a distraction burglary in Margate have arrested a teenager.
It was reported that between midday and 6.50pm on Tuesday 8 August, two people approached and spoke to the victim, a woman in her 60s, through the window of her home in Warwick Road, Cliftonville.
The victim then noticed a person in the property and confronted them. She realised later money was missing from her handbag.
A 17-year-old boy from Margate was arrested on suspicion of burglary on Wednesday 9 August 2017.
The boy was released on bail until 22 August while enquiries continue.
