Dispersal orders have been put in place for the weekend in Margate and Broadstairs.
The orders grant police officers additional powers to deter antisocial behaviour.
Anyone suspected of nuisance behaviour on the seafront or in the surrounding areas will be asked to move on, or face arrest if they fail to do so.
Those who return to an area after being asked to leave also risk being detained.
Officers are also able to seize items being used in an antisocial manner, which includes loud music systems.
Kent Police Inspector Paul Robson, from Thanet’s Community Safety Unit, said: “As the warm weather continues and people enjoy their summer in our beautiful coastal towns, we want to assure residents and visitors alike that we will not tolerate antisocial behaviour.
“We know that most people want to enjoy themselves respectfully and responsibly without disrupting the enjoyment of others, and suspected troublemakers should expect to be dealt with swiftly and robustly.”
The dispersal orders are expected to be in place until Sunday (16 August).
The orders have been used consistently this summer after chaos linked to large groups of youths in Broadstairs, and to a lesser extent Margate, during the late May bank holiday and disruption in both towns, particularly Broadstairs, last year.
