American actress and singer Gina Gershon was among the revellers at today’s Margate Pride.
The 64-year-old has starred in such films as Cocktail, Red Heat, Showgirls, Bound, Face/Off, The Insider, Demonlover, P.S. I Love You, Five Minarets in New York, Killer Joe, House of Versace and, most recently, High Rollers with John Travolta.
She was at the Pride parade with artist and Margate resident Tracey Emin for the second year in a row.
Gershon is regarded as a gay icon for her roles in films such as Bound, Prey for Rock & Roll, and Showgirls.
She also has numerous TV credits including recurring roles in Riverdale portraying the role of Jughead Jones’s mother, Gladys and in series New Amsterdam.
Dame Tracey Emin is also a regular at Margate Pride.
They were among a huge crowd that took part in the annual parade from Walpole Bay Lawns at 1pm, heading along the seafront and arriving at Dreamland in time for the main event.
This year is the tenth anniversary of Margate Pride.
