An art collective formed during the covid pandemic will be holding an exhibition in Margate this April.
TAOI Collective presents Revival, a week-long group exhibition, at the Pie Factory gallery from April 23-28.
Formed in 2020, TAOI Collective began as a way for artists across the UK to stay connected through making. As the collective has evolved, so too has its focus on material-led, socially aware, and personally driven work. The group says Margate, with its strong artistic community and spirit of reinvention, is a fitting home for Revival.
The exhibition explores ideas of renewal and transformation, drawing on themes of culture, identity, social commentary, and the use of earth-based and tactile materials. Works span clay, acrylic and oil paint, photography, and textiles.
Revival features work by Adam Lucy, Henrietta Loades Carter, J Nash, Kirsty Taylor, Nadia Zuberi, and Laurence Conton and adds to Margate’s vibrant program of contemporary exhibitions celebrating creativity, resilience, and change.
The gallery is open 11am to 5pm daily.
