A man is due in court today (February 2) accused of unlawful wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after a woman in her 50s was airlifted to Kings College Hospital with a head injury on Saturday (January 31).
Kent Police officers were called at around 00.25am to a report of a disturbance at a property at Sussex Court in Chichester Road, Ramsgate. The Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex was also called to the scene.
The woman was reported treated at the property before being taken to the air ambulance and on to the London hospital.
Forensic officers remained at the property throughout the day.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended and located a woman in her 50s who had suffered a head injury. She was airlifted to a London hospital where she is now recovering.
“Daniel Webb, 49, of Chichester Road, who is known to the victim, was arrested at the scene and later charged with unlawful wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
“He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 2 February).”
