Hartsdown Academy is now an officially authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
The achievement places Hartsdown among a select global community of schools committed to developing knowledgeable, caring, and internationally-minded young people.
The authorisation follows a rigorous multi-year verification process during which the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) assessed the school’s curriculum, teaching standards, and leadership.
The IBO praised Hartsdown Academy for its commitment to professional development and its aim of creating a better, more peaceful world through education.
The Middle Years framework, designed for students aged 11–16, focuses on intellectual challenge and encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world.
The school says this approach aligns with Hartsdown’s mission to provide an “Education for an amazing life.”
