Witnesses and dashcam footage are sought by officers investigating a fatal collision on the M2 near Faversham.
Kent Police was called shortly after 8pmyesterday {November 20}, to a collision involving a pedestrian and a number of vehicles on the coastbound carriageway of the M2 motorway, between junctions 5 and 6.
Patrols and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and a man in his 50s was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
An investigation into the circumstances is underway. Anyone who saw what happened, including seeing the pedestrian or vehicles prior to the incident, or who may have dashcam footage, should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. Investigators would also like to speak to motorists who may have driven through the scene immediately after the incident, but before the arrival of emergency services.

The coast-bound carriageway remains closed. The London-bound carriageway is also currently closed and is expected to be reopened at around 4pm.
