Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision in Margate.
A black Suzuki motorbike was travelling in College Road, towards the Victoria traffic lights junction, when it was involved in a collision with a grey Audi A3 car travelling from Yoakley Square into College Road.
A man suffered serious injuries and was flown to Kings College Hospital in London where he remains.
The collision was reported to have taken place at 2.50pm on Friday 20 September.
Officers are investigating the circumstances and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

So the Audi pulled out of Yoakley Square and hit the motorcyclist?
Whilst the motorcycle is overtaking those waiting patiently!
Yet they try to claim that as filtering!!
Wind your neck in. Someone’s in a serious condition and you’re here showing you don’t know the highway code. Filtering at lights/traffic is perfectly legal and the recommended action for motorcyclists.

The box junction is designed to keep traffic moving which is why vehicles are allowed to pull out from Yoakley Square. They are allowed to stop on the box junction if turning right and only oncoming traffic is present. They still need to be aware of cyclists and the possibility of drivers overtaking though. The motorcyclist was overtaking traffic that had stopped and he should have been cautious to vehicles emerging from the box junction.
