A man has sadly been found deceased in Cliftonville following a welfare concern report to emergency services today (April 13).
Police and paramedics were called to Newgate Gap at 11.27am. Sadly a 53 year old man was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The area along Ethelbert Crescent from the children’s play park towards Queen’s Court and the slope leading down to the beach was cordoned off by officers following the call.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called following concerns for the welfare of a man in Newgate Gap, Margate, at 11.27 am on Monday 13 April.
“Officers attended along with South East Ambulance Service and a 53 year old man was pronounced deceased. His next of kin have been informed.
“The death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
Welfare concern – deceased – 53 – not suspicious.
Like all of those words together don’t make sense. I know what they mean (well by making assumptions) but we do need to think about how certain things are framed.
