For people looking at taking up a new hobby and enjoying a bit of fresh air, some gentle exercise and meeting new people, Westbrook Bowls Club is holding three open days this spring.
The club will open its doors to visitors on Saturday 18th April, Sunday 26th April and Sunday 3rd May between 10am and noon and then 2pm and 4pm in the afternoon.
All are welcome to attend. Just bring a pair of flat soled trainers or shoes and the club will supply the bowling equipment and have members on hand to guide you.
The benefits of playing bowls, particularly for older people, include improved fitness, coordination and skill development, increased confidence and self-esteem, enhanced mental wellbeing and connection to community and support.

is this for seniors only, my severely autistic son 19 year old son wants to attend, he will be on a leash for the entirety of the session, so he will not be a nuisance.
